Some things to look forward to next year
2005 has been an eventful year for all of us. We at TechWhack have loved to see the innovations and events that took place this year. Apple iPod continued to rule the market and market analysts believe that it would continue to do so for sometime to come. Microsoft tried to impress the web users with the first beta of their upcoming Internet Explorer 7. And they did become the first of the group to launch the next generation gaming console Xbox 360.
Next year is expected to bring much more innovations to our lives. Sony would be launching their Playstation 3, which would be followed, by Nintendo’s launch of their Revolution. Microsoft is working hard on releasing Windows Vista before the end of the year just in time for the holiday season. And best of all, we would see Apple launching their Intel microprocessor based Macintosh computers.
Other than that, we might also see Wimax becoming a usable standard for wireless connectivity. Apple might also come out with their much-speculated iPhone, which would integrate the fabulous iPod with a mobile phone. They did try it with the Motorola Rokr but it seems that the end consumer wants something from Apple directly.
Microsoft is also expected to launch their new version of the MS Office 12 suite, which they believe, would be the most user-friendly version ever. Overall, an eventful year we are seriously looking forward to.
