Flights to Middle East from India increasing
The aviation market in India is expanding fast since the last couple of years. And one of the hottest sectors for overseas flights has been the Middle East. Considering the number of people traveling to this region, more and more airlines are considering starting new flights on this route. They are targeting the large population of expatriates from India’s southern states who are working and living in countries like UAE and other Middle Eastern countries.
In addition to more flights in the region, the competition also means that the rates are competitive and this brings more good news to the travelers aiming to visit these countries. Some of the major airline companies offering flights to Middle East are: Air-India, Air India Express, Indian Airlines, Emirates, Ehiad Airways, Saudia, Kuwait Airlines, Gulf Air, Cathay Pacific, and Sharjah’s low cost carrier Air Arabia LLC.
And with private players entering this field in the recent past, this number is expected to increase if the Indian government indeed goes ahead and remove the condition of 5 years experience required in domestic flights. The number of weekly flights to Dubai from India was around 25 a couple of years back. This number has now increased to 42. Air India alone operates close to 28 weekly flights to this region.
