Bajaj Auto updates Discover model
Indian leading auto manufacturer Bajaj Auto has released an updated version of their popular motorcycle Discover. The company claims that the update was a result of ”completely indigenous effortâ€. Bajaj is manufacturing this new version at their Akurdi plant and it will available across all the dealerships by the end of December 2005.
The information was released to the media by Company’s regional manager (marketing and sales-2 wheelers) B K Senapati. The new variant is a 112 cc model, which comes with alloy wheels. Bajaj also claims that the updated model comes with latest features such as the ‘world’s first’ ExhausTEC technology, SNS suspension and the Ride Control Switch.
Bajaj has been pretty successful with this model, which forms the backbone of sales for the company along with the hugely popular Bajaj Pulsar model. The company now wants to further establish itself as the leader in the ‘Executive’ segment of motorcycles and they want to leverage the highly successful Discover brand.
A statement from the company said: ”We are following global norms wherein automobile companies have multiple products under each platform. The newly introduced 112 cc Discover is an addition to the existing 125 cc Discover DTS-i. The 112 cc Discover is designed towards giving the rider best mileage while retaining the look and feel of the 125 cc DTS-I version.â€
