Airbus expects Indian Aviation market to grow hugely in next 20 years
European aircraft maker Airbus has said that they are looking with keen eyes towards the Indian aviation market, which has seen a boom in the recent months. The company believes that the growing demand and the booming aviation sector would result in demands of around 1000 aircrafts over the next 20 years.
Kiran Rao, Airbus Industries’ senior vice president said in a statement: “The Indian market is very strong… we see between 800 to 1,000 aircraft being ordered from the country over the next 20 years.†We have already seen Indian airline companies placing huge orders with both Boeing and Airbus this year.
India along with China has become some of the major markets for both these airline makers and Airbus is in fact looking towards establishing a manufacturing base in China. The company also believes that some of the orders from this growing demand from India expect to be for the new super-jumbo A-380 aircraft.
The latest figures from the company is double that of its previous estimates. The growing demand from the Indian market has led to company improve their vision for this Asian country.
