LG Electronics has high expectations from the US mobile market
South Korea based LG Electronics has gained a good reputation in the US market with the consumers showing interests in purchasing an LG handset over rival products as per market surveys. The latest news in from the company is that they are now looking towards enhancing their market base in the US market and are expecting 2006 sales in North American to top $10 billion.
LG’s president of its North American operations was speaking to the media group Reuters when he talked about their plans to improve upon their offerings targeting to achieve a larger market base. He said: “We will grow to more than 20 percent market share.â€ He was addressing the media at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The company already has a decent presence in the United States market and has an 18% market share. However, their performance in the worldwide mobile markets is not as impressive as they just around manage 9% of the market share. The company is also targeting growing mobile markets like India and China to improve their user base around the world.
