They have just confirmed the proposed acquisition of new aircraft and looking at the emerging threat from the new international airline companies arriving in India, Air-India has tied up with renowned interior designers and fashion experts to give a new look to its aircraft interiors.
They also have plans to go in for a change in the uniforms of the cabin crew. They have gone into a collaboration with well-known branding house Aliagroup to spruce up the interiors of the aircraft. They also have shortlisted five fashion designers to provide new uniforms to cabin crew staff. These renowned fashion designers are: Ritu Beri, JJ Vallya, Tarun Tahiliani, Satya Paul and Lifestyle and luxury brand Ravissant.
A company spokesperson said that they expect the renovation to take place in the next two years. The airline company is also aiming to rope in its own brand ambassador. However, nothing has been revealed on which celebrity they are aiming to target for their advertising and promotion.
