Nokia is now beta testing a new content discovery and recommendation platform named Nokia Xpress Now through their Nokia Xpress mobile browser on their Asha branded featurephones in Indian market.
This new functionality is focused on recommending new content and platforms to the users of the devices.
The company said:
Nokia Xpress Now is about discovering interesting stories and new content based on the wisdom of the crowd. It’s not a magazine, a story or a group of curated RSS feeds, but rather a collection of interesting web content that is always changing.
Incidentally, Opera is trying to do something similar with their mobile browsers. Users are recommended content based on what is popular online.
