Music app updated for Windows RT/8

Microsoft has updated the Music app that ships on Windows 8 and Windows RT. The app now features a dedicated search option to search for music on your local storage and on their online store where it is available.

Users in select markets can also easily access the ad-supported free music streaming service through the Xbox Music platform.

In addition, there are a bunch of bug fixes and UI improvements. Microsoft said:

Remember, after you sign in to the Music app on your Windows PC or tablet, you can stream millions of songs for free* (with ads) with Xbox Music. You can search for any artist, song, or full album and instantly play whatever you want. And with Radio, previously known as SmartDJ, you can discover new music and create custom stations based on your favorite artists and the music you love the most.
