Times Internet has confirmed that they have extended their deal with Google to continue broadcasting IPL 2013 through YouTube.
The company added that users would be able to participate in Google+ Hangouts as well connected to the event featuring players and commentators.
Times Internet has already given the mobile broadcasting rights to another company. It is good to see them continue using YouTube as it offers a stable and popular platform to the users.
The company said:
As part of the deal, YouTube will have exclusive live-streaming rights for desktop web viewing (with a five minute delay in India) and non-exclusive rights for mobile viewing through the 2013 and 2014 tournaments.
The five minute delay would be an issue for the hardcore fans but accessibility is still the key.
