Google has updated the Chrome stable build with some spell-checking enhancements.

The Google Search powered spell checker is now available as an opt-in feature. Users would get suggestions based on the same technology that suggests corrections on Google Search.

Users also get the option to sync their custom dictionaries across all their Chrome installations.

Google spoke about the improved spell checker:

The “Ask Google for suggestions” spell checking feature, powered by the same technologies used by Google search, now supports grammar checking, proper nouns, homonyms, and context-sensitive spell checking in English.
